Choose the car that suits you. Both come with patient, calm instruction and honest advice.
We have expert instructors available for manual lessons. We have both male and female instructors, and you are very welcome to request your preference. We want you to feel as comfortable as possible.
There are many benefits to taking automatic lessons. For many learners it builds confidence, it removes the fear of stalling or rolling back on hills, and there are fewer distractions so you can focus on the road.
Both are taught the same patient way. Here is how they differ.

Passed your test? Build confidence for the journeys ahead, from busy town roads to your first motorway trip.
Pass Plus is a practical training course for drivers who have passed their driving test. It is designed to develop your skills, broaden your experience and help you drive more safely. You can take it at any time after passing, although GOV.UK says it is most useful in your first year.
Work on situations that still feel unfamiliar after your test, with guidance and feedback from an instructor.
Develop your skills on different types of roads and in conditions you may not have experienced during your learner lessons.
Strengthen your observation, planning and awareness of hazards, and learn to adapt your driving to the road and conditions.
Some insurers offer a discount with a Pass Plus certificate. Discounts are not guaranteed; check with your insurer before booking.
The course covers all six of these modules. Training should be practical, but local conditions may mean some parts are covered in theory.
Build experience in busy traffic, with junctions, pedestrians, cyclists and other road users.
Learn to adjust your speed, following distance and driving approach when visibility or grip is reduced.
Develop your judgement on bends and narrow roads, and awareness of hidden hazards, animals and slow-moving vehicles.
Learn about using lights correctly and managing reduced visibility, glare and judging distance in the dark.
Build confidence joining and leaving faster roads, choosing lanes and maintaining safe following distances.
Develop skills for joining, leaving and changing lanes, with awareness of motorway signs and safe driving at higher speeds.
The course takes at least 6 hours. You will normally spend at least 5.5 hours driving. You must reach the required standard in every module, so additional training may be needed.
No. There is no final test. Your instructor assesses you throughout the course, and you must meet the required standard in all six modules.
Once you reach the required standard, you and your instructor sign a training report form. You send it to DVSA to apply for your Pass Plus certificate. The certificate is not issued automatically at the end of your lessons.
Possibly, but not all insurers offer a discount and the amount varies. Ask your insurer whether it accepts Pass Plus and what saving, if any, it offers. If you passed your test more than a year ago, check that you are still eligible for its discount.
Fees depend on the instructor and the training time needed. Contact ZNR to ask about availability, a Pass Plus-registered instructor and current fees.
